Privacy Policy for Digital Content (Downloads)

This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you use our online shop (digital PDF downloads for escape-room games) and for what purposes.
2. Access Data and Hosting
When you visit our website, the web server automatically stores so-called server log files (e.g., IP address, date & time, requested file, data volume transferred, and provider). Processing takes place in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR to ensure the smooth operation and security of our website. Log files are deleted after a maximum of 7 days.
Our hosting provider processes all log and content data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR). Data is only transferred to third countries when necessary for contract fulfillment or IT security purposes and only if appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.
3. Data Processing for Contract Fulfillment & Contact
3.1 Ordering Downloads
For contract processing (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR), we collect the data you provide in the order form (mandatory fields: e-mail address, first & last name; optional: billing address).
The download link is provided immediately after payment via e-mail or your customer account.
After full completion of the contract, we store tax- and commercial-law relevant data until the end of the statutory retention periods (currently 6 or 10 years, Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR). After this period, the data will be deleted or blocked.
3.2 Customer Account
With your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), we create a customer account in which you can manage your order history and downloads. You can delete the account at any time via the account settings or by e-mail.
3.3 Contact Form & E-Mail
When contacting us, we process your information to handle your inquiry (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). After completion, we delete the data unless statutory retention obligations apply.
4. Payment Processing
For payment processing, we transfer the necessary data (name, e-mail, invoice amount) to payment service providers. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. These providers process data independently; their own privacy policies apply.

5. Newsletter
With your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), we send e-mail updates and offers regarding our escape-room downloads. You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link or by e-mail.
For performance measurement, we use open and click tracking (tracking pixels). The analysis takes place only if you have given separate consent. You may revoke your consent at any time.
6. Cookies & Analytics
We use technically necessary cookies to enable the shopping cart and login functionality (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Non-essential cookies (e.g., for web analytics such as Google Analytics) are used only with your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie banner.
7. Trusted Shops Trustbadge
To display our Trusted Shops trustmark and collected reviews, we integrate the Trustbadge from Trusted Shops GmbH (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). When the badge is loaded, server log files (see above) are processed. For more details, please refer to Trusted Shops’ privacy policy.
8. Social Media Links
Our website contains links to our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). These are plain HTML links; no data is transmitted to these platforms until you click the link.
9. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77). You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future and to object to processing for reasons arising from your particular situation (Art. 21).
